Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Preheat oven to 160°C/Fan 140°C/Gas 3. Dice the skirt into even sized pieces. Place flour into a bowl and season lightly with salt and pepper. Toss the diced beef skirt in the flour to coat, shake off to remove any excess. Heat 5ml of oil in frying pan on a medium heat, add the diced beef skirt and approximately 300g diced carrots and onion. Cook until the meat is brown on all sides. During cooking: Transfer to a heatproof casserole dish, add 900ml of by Sainsbury's fresh beef stock and 220ml of water, season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cover and place in a preheated oven for 3½ to 4 hours or alternatively over a low heat on the hob for 3½ to 4 hours, stirring occasionally. After cooking: Remove from stock and serve. Check food is piping hot and no pink colour remains. This is a guide only. All cooking appliances vary.
