Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking 1. Remove joint from the packaging and allow to breathe at room temp for up to 30 minutes. 2. Preheat the oven to 170°C/Fan 150°C/Gas 4. 3. Brush the joint with 5ml of oil and season with salt and pepper. During cooking 1. Sear all sides of the joint in a hot pan for 6 minutes. 2. Place the joint in a roasting dish and place in the centre of the pre heated oven and cook for 30 minutes. 3. After 30 minutes reduce the heat to 150°C/Fan 130°C/Gas Mark 2 and cook for: Roast Electric 150°C Fan 130°C Gas Mark 2 Medium 60 minutes + 25 minutes 500g Well Done 60 minutes + 30 minutes per 500g After cooking 1. Remove from oven, cover joint in foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes. 2. Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
