English Quality Sparkling Wine Protected Designation of Origin
Carefully blended from several vintages of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to create a unique style, our Classic Cuvée is aged slowly for three years on lees and is a true expression of its chalky Kent soils and maritime climate. Pure, elegant and distinctive, revealing a fresh and flinty character. Beautifully balanced and laced with a whisper of white fruits, grapefruit and spring blossom.
Domaine Evremond is the realisation of a shared dream between lifelong friends Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger and Patrick McGrath MW to craft exceptional English Sparkling Wine of the highest quality. History: Founded in 2015 by Patrick McGrath MW and Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger of Champagne Taittinger, Domaine Evremond is an English sparkling wine from Chilham, Kent. Inspired by the friendship between King Charles II and Charles de Saint-Évremond, the estate embodies an Anglo-French partnership, combining expertise from the Evremond and Taittinger teams to craft wines that express the chalk soils and maritime influence of the Kent countryside.
Regional information: Domaine Evremond is located in Chilham, Kent, where the chalk soils and climate provide conditions well suited to producing English sparkling wine. The 125-hectare estate includes 60 hectares planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with further planting planned. The vineyard sits on south-facing, free-draining chalk soils at 50-90m above sea level. The site was formerly used for apple and pear orchards.
Vinification: Fermented and matured exclusively in temperature controlled stainless-steel vats, this Classic Cuvée captures the purity and precision of its fruit, preserving a vibrant, clean profile. Undergoing full malolactic conversion, the wine develops a refined texture and subtle creaminess, balancing its natural acidity with a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. Each bottle is then aged on the lees for at least three years, imparting remarkable depth and complexity. Aged for 3 years on the lees.
