History: Hambledon Wine Estate, founded in 1952 by Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones, is widely regarded as the birthplace of English wine. With the guidance of esteemed Champagne House, Pol Roger, Sir Guy planted vines on the south-facing chalky slopes on the estate, in what is now part of the South Downs National Park. Today, Hambledon is under the joint ownership of Berry Bros. & Rudd and Symington Family Estates, with a remarkable 200 acres under vine.
Regional information: The English Cuvée is produced exclusively from Hambledon's own estate on the south-east facing chalk slopes of Windmill Down, in the historic village of Hambledon.
Vinification: Aged for a minimum of 27 months on the lees.
