Cooking instructions: Oven from Frozen
Oven cook from frozen. Before cooking: Preheat oven. Remove sleeve, bag and clip. Place the foil tray on a baking tray, cover loosely with foil and place on the middle shelf of the oven. During cooking: Cook for 2 hours 30 minutes. Remove the foil and baste the joint with the juices. Return to the oven and continue to cook for a further 30 minutes. After cooking: Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains. For tenderness and succulence, cover with foil and allow to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes before carving. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Oven cook from frozen 190°C / Fan 170°C / Gas 5 3 hrs
Warnings:
When cooked some pinking may remain on the surface of the turkey due to being in contact with the bacon. This is a natural occurrence and completely safe.
Don't wash raw turkey. Keep raw poultry separate from cooked foods.
Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw poultry and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly in between use.
Wash hands after handling raw poultry. Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout, no pink colour remains and all juices run clear.
